MEDS currently provides a reliable supply of essential medicines and medical supplies of good quality at affordable prices to over 1,800 public and private health facilities in Kenya. As East and Central Africas regional supply chain hub, MEDS also serves 22 health facilities in South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Chad and Cameroon. Through our devolved distribution network, we deliver your orders at your doorstep at no extra cost; within 2 days if located in Nairobi, within 3 days if upcountry and within 5 days if in the East and Central Africa region.

ADMISSION OF NEW CLIENTS
Thank you for choosing MEDS as your preferred Medical Supply Chain and Support Organization. To enjoy our Supply Chain services, please take a few minutes to read through the following procedure.

Procedure for admitting new clients:

Apply to MEDS either in writing or by personal visit. If accepted, MEDS shall issue the applicant with the relevant forms to complete and return duly signed together with all the relevant supporting documents.
An account shall be opened for approved health facilities who may then proceed to place orders.
Health facilities that are hard pressed to place orders before their applications are approved can be given special consideration to do so; those that do not qualify shall be advised accordingly.
All new clients shall be on cash terms until an application for credit is formalized subject to the prevailing credit control policies and subsequent approval by MEDS.

Cash terms shall include:

  • Postal money orders
  • Cash
  • Bankers’ cheque
  • MPESA- Business Number 508500

Institutional cheques shall be subject to clearance before goods can be released. Where such a cheque is returned un-paid by the bank, no more institutional cheques will be accepted in future.

Note: Clients are advised to deposit cash with MEDS equivalent to their expected monthly purchases to avoid inconveniences caused by pre-payment. No goods shall be released without proof of payment vide a valid receipt from the cashier
